a. It has helped the men in combating fatal diseases like malaria, smallpox, tuberculosis etc.
b. It has provided a cure for some diseases like cancer through radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
c. We have been able to bring epidemics under control.
d. We have reduced infants mortality rates etc.
e. The science of biology serves mankind in coming to our rescue by finding means to increase food production and by controlling the increase in human population.
God gives knowledge to biologists,,, that's why they serve humanity
2) In the Field of Agriculture:
a. Biology serves mankind in agriculture by hydroponics possible whereby plants can be grown in solution or moist material containing minerals, instead of growing in soil.
b. Biology has provided biological control for certain pest of food crops.
c. Recently biology has made possible the cloning, genetic engineering and integrated disease management, which increased crop production.
