Betamethasone | Corticosteroid

Betamethasone is mostly available as betamethasone as the sodium phosphate. It is required when needed corticosteroid therapy. Some of the principal indications are as follows:
Bronchial asthma.
Severe hypersensitivity reactions.
Anaphylaxis.
Rheumatoid arthritis.
Systemic lupus erythematosus.
Dermatomyositis.
Acute and Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia.
Dosage:
The dose of betamethasone or types of corticosteroids depends upon the diseases. Divided dosage is applied. For short-term treatment 2 to 3 mg per day. After adjustment reduces the dosage of 250 to 500 mcg and every two or five days.
