Violation of sovereignty and war Theoretically all the states of the world are equal. This equality arises out of the concept of sovereignty of states over its land, resources, population as well as in dealing with other states. In practice the terms like super powers, great powers, industrial powers, tigers, developed, under developed or third world countries tend to indicate the presence of some sort of inequality among the states but these are misleading terms regarding the concept of equality on the basis of sovereignty. Sovereignty of states is an indivisible whole and cannot be compared of one nation with that of the other. There can be no such terms like lesser or greater sovereignty, weak or strong sovereignty, complete or incomplete sovereignty, deficient or ample sovereignty, growing or full grown sovereignty.
